Acne Myths On What Causes Acne

Common ailments like acne have their share of myths. This is primarily because the occurrence of acne is commonplace and so everyone has a theory about it. One need not be a doctor to point out as to what causes acne. Some people would simply blame it on the modern day pollution while some would hold our food habits responsible. And then there are some people who would say that acne is caused because people today have started leading unhygienic lives.

Probably, many of these people are right, but they are partly right at best because there is no single cause of acne. It can occur for many reasons, and there may also be a combination of causes responsible for it.

The primary reason for acne in most of the cases is the dead cells, sebum and clogged pores. The outbreak of acne can be reduced in intensity by regular washing of face.
We have long held things like junk food and chocolates responsible for acne. However, the recent researches do not conclusively establish the connection.

Since the researches have not concluded that there is a certain connection between acne outbreaks and these foods, it cannot be said that eating chocolates and junk food can cause acne. But some researches have found that intake of iodine may cause acne outbreak. So, if you want to prevent acne, keep a check on your sea food intake because it does contain quite a generous amount of iodine.

Another myth associated with acne is that it is an adolescence problem. It is true that acne is caused mostly by hormonal imbalance, which is normally noticed during the growing-up days. But acne has been found to hit people in their 30s, too. Though it is less common in people who are older than 20 year of age, but it can occur at any stage in one’s life.

Also, during pregnancy many women experience acne problem. This is because of the hormonal changes that occur during pregnancy. However, in such cases acne problem goes away after the delivery.

The myths associated with acne are many, and most of them are baseless. It is better to consult an expert and seek help rather than trying to find one’s way through the jungle of the never-ending myths.

Over-the-Counter Abortions for Everyone?

The argument surrounding Emergency Contraception’s finally being available over the counter has led to a strong debate among pro- and anti-choice people.

What is Emergency Contraception & How Does it Work?
EC (also known as Plan B), by definition, is a type of postcoital birth control that is intended to prevent a pregnancy.

Emergency postcoital contraception, a method used to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sexual intercourse, is a highly effective but underutilized birth control option. Two hormone regimens, ethinyl estradiol (100 µg) with levonorgestrel (0.5 mg) or high-dose levonorgestrel (0.75 mg), given within 72 hours of intercourse and repeated 12 hours later, are available for this purpose… Emergency postcoital contraception should be considered as a primary prevention health service to women of childbearing age. (American Family Physician 2000;62:2287-92) [Emphasis my bold]

More recently, doctors who prescribe EC are suggesting that the 2 pills can be taken together if the patient does not get nauseous easily.

Both pro- and anti-choicers claim their main goal is to prevent and end abortions, and as such, it seems to logically follow that every person should be ecstatic with the news that this type of drug will be available over the counter in November.

But some anti-choicers are not, and they’re screaming it from the tops of their soapboxes (bring your earplugs).

The Disinformation
If proponents of the so-called ‘pro-life’ ideology want to eliminate abortion, surely they would support greater availability of EC however, the loudest (and sometimes more influential) seem to think EC, available OTC, will have negative effects on the public.

A variety of people who claim to be anti-choice have been spouting the disinformation that EC is an abortifacient and that it promotes (or will promote more) promiscuity among teenagers and adults.

In a June cbsnews.com/stories/2005/11/22/60minutes/main1068924.shtml CBS report, Cardinal Egan of New York was quoted as stating that EC may cause “a chemical abortion.” The report also discusses the concerns of David Hager, a gynecologist from Lexington, KY. He states, “One of the mechanisms of action can be to inhibit implantation, which means that it may act as an abortifacient.”

This basic argument resides in their belief that life begins at conception, when sperm fertilizes an egg. If Plan B is taken once the egg has been fertilized, but it has not implanted in the uterus, implantation may be prevented. The fertilized egg could be expelled from the body. This is, to anti-choicers, an abortion.

Some pharmacists have also voiced their washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A5490-2005Maⲣ.html moral opposition to EC.

Deirdre McQuade, the anti-choice spokeswoman for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, stated medicalnewstoday.com/medicalnews.php?newsid=48400 here, “Making this powerful, abortifacient drug available without a doctor’s oversight could place women and their newly-conceived children at risk.”

Wendy Wright, president of Concerned Women for America, opposes the wider availability of Plan B because, she thinks, adult men who have sex with (read: rape) minor girls could force them to take the pills. Donned in her metaphorical red dress and pearl necklace, she stated, “The FDA’s irresponsible action today takes those rights out of a parent’s hands and gives them to ill-intentioned perpetrators.”

The other common argument against Plan B is that it will catalyze a rise in sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDS. Because it removes this major “negative consequence” of having sex with a variety of partners, conservatives argue women will be freer with whom they choose to have sex, and thus put themselves in harm’s way.

The Accurate Information

The first question we must ask ourselves is: Why do people think EC may induce a chemical abortion? And second: Why do some consider it to be an abortifacient?

Here are some applicable definitions that need to be used in the debate (from m-w.com/) before we can go further:

Abortion: The termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus as a spontaneous expulsion of a human fetus during the first 12 weeks of gestation [or] induced expulsion of a human fetus.
Abortifacient: An agent (as a drug) that induces abortion.
Pregnant: Containing a developing embryo, fetus, or unborn offspring within the body.
Pregnancy: The state of being pregnant.

To state it more succinctly, an abortion is the natural (often referred to as a miscarriage), surgical, or chemical expulsion of a pregnancy, and an abortifacient is the agent that causes an abortion.

A chemical abortion is predominately induced in the United States through the use of a combination of Mifeprex (more widely know as RU-486) and Cytotec. Mifeprex, when taken alone, does not have a high efficacy rate of inducing an abortion. A second drug, a prostaglandin, usually Misoprostol (its brand name is Cytotec), should be used 48 hours later. Misoprostol causes uterine contractions to help expel the pregnancy.

Plan B is not the same as RU-486. There are completely different drugs, drug interactions, and purposes for each.

The Population Council published a popcouncil.org/pdfs/popbriefs/pbma⽉.pdf study in May 2005 that explained how Plan B works. Page three reads, “…the drug [levonorgestrel] had no effect on fertilization or implantation when it was administered shortly before or after mating or before implantation.” This means Plan B’s primary method of preventing pregnancy is not inhibiting implantation; rather, Plan B inhibits ovulation. In the event ovulation has occurred, Plan B prevents a sperm and egg from uniting as a secondary method. The third, which is under debate, is if conception has occurred, implantation may be inhibited.

Plan B’s

Think Right, And Lose Weight Now

What’s the most important step toward losing weight?

No, it’s not what you eat, although that’s important.

No, it’s not exercising, although that’s a critical component of your plan.

No, it’s not the system you buy, although a system can be tremendously helpful.

The most important step is deciding to lose weight. Most people never do that. They wish they could lose weight, or they long to lose weight, or they’re angry about being fat, or they get mad about not being able to lose weight. But they never make a firm commitment to achieving a reasonable target weight.

Any major life achievement begins with a decision (if it happens by accident, did you really achieve anything?) You have to decide to be thin. You know you’ve really decided when you don′t quit. If you quit, you never really committed in the first place. That might be hard to hear, but it’s the truth.

Suppose your most cherished person in the world was trapped in a burning building. Nobody else is around. You save this person, or this person burns to death, and you’ll hear the screaming. Are you going in to save that person? You bet, and you’ll come out with that person or die trying.

That, my friend, is commitment. If you’re not deathly committed to your weight loss goals, you won′t achieve them.

Nursing Jobs

Today in America the demand for health-care workers especially nurses is at an all time high. With the advances in medical technology Americans seem to be living longer than ever before. That, coupled with the fact that America’s baby boom generation is reaching retirement age, means that more healthcare professionals are needed now that have ever been needed before. The future career prospects for the nursing industry are great.

Nursing jobs are available in just about every city in our country. The job description of today’s nurse includes performing diagnostic tests, providing emotional support and medical advice to patients and their family members, treating and educating patients on various medical conditions, as well as helping patients and their families to understand how to manage their illnesses.

Explaining post treatment home care to patients and their families is yet another responsibility of today’s nurse. Some nurses are also required to provide grief counseling to family members who have the critically injured relative. Nurses are also crucial when it comes to health screening, blood drives, health seminars, local immunizations, and other community needs.

Many nurses today choose to specialize in one field. There are many fields of study a nurse may choose. Some of which include mental health nursing, private duty nursing, hospital nurses, clinic nurses, emergency room nurses, surgical nurses, as well as career opportunities in oncology nursing, geriatrics, pediatrics, pulmonary medicine, family and elder care nursing and many other options. Some nursing students will choose to study in two or more specialized fields. Duties and responsibilities vary greatly depending upon which specialize field of medicine a nurse may choose.

With the need for more and more qualified nurses to handle today’s demanding workplace, nursing schools both online and traditional are struggling to meet the needs of the health-care industry. There seems to be the greatest demand for nurses in countries with aging populations. There are job opportunities for nurses in every country of or world today.

If you are considering a career as a nurse, you will no doubt have no problem in securing employment. The problem you may be faced with as a nurse in today’s hectic health-care industry is trying to secure time off. Vacation time and personal time to spend with your family may be hard to come by until such a time where more nurses are in the workforce.

Spinal Cord Injury Alternative Medicine Treatment : Medical Intuition & Energy Healing

Spinal cord injury (herniated discs, pinched nerves, collapsed vertebrae) is one of the most devastating catastrophic injuries that one can endure. The spinal cord is the gateway for all nerve paths. The location of the injury and the severity of the damage determine the complications involved and the dysfunction. Science is discovering that the sooner the spinal cord injury is addressed and treatment begins, there is a direct correlation to recovery of the affected areas.

As a medical intuitive and “human MRI”, when assessing a spinal cord injury, I look at the 360 degree view of the traumatized area. Failing to “see” the entire injured area can produce further injury, and create neglect in areas that need to be immediately addressed. It is best to look at each segment of the spine (discs and vertebrae) and spinal cord nerves in 4 equal quadrants. When helping to diagnose and evaluate the damaged area, reevaluating every 3 hours for the first 24 hours until the client is stabilized produces more accurate readings and beneficial results, as inflammation, further compression and damage can progress after the initial injury has occurred.

Although the initial site of the catastrophic injury is your primary source of dehabilitation, the damaged neural pathways can extend beyond that original area and days later create problems of their own. To counter this problem, “tracking” the energy of the affected neural pathways will give you further information of possible deterioration and additional side effects. If you do not have extending neural circumstances, containing the affected areas in a bubble of Healing energy will usually suspend further exacerbation of future problems.

While the allopathic physicians are providing their treatments, you can effectively use energy healing to complement and integrate with their procedures.
Removing pain is usually the first consideration, unless the client is rendered “numb″ by his experience. Secondly, work on inflammation to help minimize current damage and to alleviate possible secondary symptoms.

In my experience in healing the spinal cord nerves, vertebrae and herniated discs of a paralyzed dog in 90 days, it is best to work on each issue separately so as not to overload the client’s health response system during a time of great stress. Use energy healing to build a solid foundation step by step to rebuild the molecular structure of the cells and in turn the bodily systems. It is also best to work in increments and intermittently, so the molecular structures can recalibrate, and regenerate without stressing the physical structures.

First, regenerate the vertebrae’s cellular structure in order to provide a foundation that is capable of holding the disc. Secondly, reestablish the health of each disc, leaving the neural pathways as your last concern. Once the spine is stabilized, then revitalize the neural pathways. If you reactivate the nerves before you have a solid base in the spinal column, you might create more inflammation and pain than necessary. Rebuilding a system, inch by inch produces a stronger foundation that will allow the client to rebuild his muscular system with physical therapy without causing extra pain.

Although stem cell research is providing a gateway of hope for Spinal cord injuries, electromagnetic bio molecular energy healing can and will be a beneficial healing modality.

Get A Jump On Your COPD! Jumping Rope - A Novice’s Approach

I receive lots of emails from people all over the world who have some form of COPD. Many of them are already discovering the health benefits of exercise. They have found out that even moderate exercise, performed daily, makes a world of difference in their ability to breath.

Still, I do receive more than a a few emails from people who have not begun a workout program. They came to this site to check it over and see what is here. They have reviewed the articles and looked over the exercise programs that we currently have available, and still have not found what they are looking for.

I suppose that some of them are dealing with lung issues that prevent them from getting into some form of progressive resistance training. Or, maybe they are just intimidated by the notion of strength training in any form, feeling that do not possess the raw talent or skill necessary to engage in that type of exercise. The following paragraphs should help almost anyone get started in a basic, no frills exercise program using the old fashioned JUMP ROPE!

I should warn you that I am far from an expert rope jumper. In fact, I am terrible at it. I am getting better though, and I am starting to enjoy it more as I do. The more proficient you are at jumping rope, the more intense the exercise will become. You should begin to see greater and greater health benefits from the exercise the more skilled you are at it. So, practice is what makes perfect in this case.

As for tools go, you will need a good jump rope, and I while you can find a good rope at any local sporting goods store, I can recommend no better a rope than the Boa 2000. This is the one I use.

amazon.com/2000-Hi-Speed-Professional-Jump-Rope/dp/B0007NJ0YC Boa 2000

This is a professional speed rope, and the design of it is superb. You can see from the photo that the rope is thicker in two places. This strategic design adds weight to the rope as you spin it. The faster you spin it, the heavier it gets exponentially. And because it is already heavier than most standard ropes, this is not like using your average, run of the mill leather/bead rope. A leather/bead rope will work just fine and I have used them in the past. But for me the Boa works even better, and especially so for our purposes.

Remember, we do not just want to get endurance, but we also want to strengthen and add muscle to our bodies. The Boa will place greater stress on your shoulders, biceps, forearms, upper back and hand muscles (grip). A regular rope can do this to some extent, but not as much as the Boa 2000. Either choice will benefit you, but I just wanted you to know what I am using and why I recommend it. OK, enough of the shameless commerce. Let’s talk jumping rope.

I am using a rope in my training for three reasons: One, cardiovascular improvement. Two, agility and coordination, and three, to make my lungs healthier.

Strength training is awesome, and the way I do it is very challenging for even the most seasoned athlete. But I still want some targeted cardio work and the rope affords me that option. Additionally, my lungs are fighting an already tough foe in the form of COPD, and the rope helps me clean my lungs more efficiently and in ways that medicine can’t. I need to stop for just a second to explain something to you.

This is my personal approach to managing my health and getting fit. You are the final arbiter of your own health, and you have to manage it the way you see fit. You are responsible for your own health. I am merely offering my own experience for you to consider. This column needs to be received as a suggestion that, based on my own experience, might help others. In the end, you need to consult your physician and talk to them about what you read here. As I have said before, I am responsible for my own health. What you read here is my own personal approach to fitness. Yours may be entirely different.

Moving along, to be honest when I began jumping rope a few months ago I did not like it. Not only did it feel awkward and clumsy, but the better I got at it the harder it became, and for reasons having to do with both conditioning and preexisting medical challenges. As you might expect, the better I became at jumping rope, the longer I could spin it without catching the rope on the tops of my feet or stepping on the rope as I descended. What that meant, of course, was that I could spin it for greater amounts of time, which placed greater demands on my endurance and also my muscles. In fact, I would actually get sore in almost every area of my body from using the Boa.

Additionally, the better I got at jumping rope, the more I could focus on my technique and breathing, and less on the mechanics of jumping rope itself. This afforded me the opportunity to turn the exercise into a form of therapy for my lungs. As I jumped rope, I could alter the rhythm of the rope, as well as my breathing, in unique ways that was designed to actually cause me to wheeze more. Believe it or not, that is what I am aiming for when I use the rope!

Wheezing, as unpleasant as this sounds, is an indication that things inside my lungs are shifting and moving around. The more I jump up and down, the more stuff moves around and the more stuff I get out as a result. I admit the process in an unpleasant one, and it is hard as hell. In fact, it is downright brutal sometimes. But the good news is that as each day passes, I have less and less stuff in my lungs to contend with. In short, I get healthier.

I begin each rope session with an objective of 1000 total rotations, broken up into manageable mini-sessions. Currently, I start out with a moderate pace for 200 initial rotations, non-stop (i.e. mistake free) if possible. At that point, I take a break. I use this time to allow blood to get to all parts of my body. I also clear my airways if needed. After about 45 seconds, I begin knocking out sets of 100 revolutions/rotations, spinning the rope as fast as I can. When the rope is spinning, I keep my grip tight, my head up and my shoulders back. I don’t move my hands very much. The rope develops a momentum all of it’s own that is maintained by the slightest rotation of the hands, which is so slight as to me almost imperceptible.

In terms of respiration, I try to keep my breathing relaxed. I try to keep my diaphragm relaxed. I want the lungs to sort of bounce and move around a bit. This jiggling effect has great therapeutic benefit for me that no amount of medication can yield, but it makes me cough more, which is a good thing, even though it is unpleasant.

I tend to take about 60 seconds between “sets”. Sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on my needs.

This is roughly a 20 minute workout and can serve as a great workout by itself, or a perfect way to warm up for a primary workout.

As for my meds, I have my inhaler’s handy just in case. That said, I really prefer not to use my meds while I do this, as the meds I use affect heart rate and blood pressure and so forth. I sometimes do my meds before I workout. When I do, I like to medicate 20 minutes prior to my workout. Also, I sometimes use my meds 10 minutes after my workout. Again, this is my approach.

What I have noticed with this form of exercise is a real improvement in the efficiency of my lungs. They are less congested from day to day and I find that between workouts I have a much easier time. No doubt about it, rope jumping allows me to get a jump on my medical issues and I am able to stay ahead of my condition.

Until God steps in and heals me, I will do this each and every day. You can count on it.

Treating Osteoporosis Naturally

Here’s how it happens . . . Bone is made up of living tissue, mostly collagen, which forms a framework for the bone. Calcium is a mineral which is added to this framework to make the bone hard and strong.

During childhood and teenage years, new bone is added faster than old bone is removed. After 30, this reverses. It’s more likely to develop if you don’t reach optimal bone mass during your early years. This is why treating osteoporosis naturally with the right calcium supplements along with minerals and vitamins can make an enormous difference and actually prevent it from happening in the first place!

In osteoporosis, the bones become brittle and porous due to loss of calcium and all of a sudden break. The bone density loss can occur long before the advanced symptoms and you may not even realize you’ve got it until a simple fall or accident causes a fracture. Natural osteoporosis supplements are well worth taking to avoid such pain in the future.

Symptoms in advanced osteoporosis are bone pain, joint pain and spontaneous fractures. Any bone can be affected but the most vulnerable and crucial areas will be the hips and spine.

Osteoporosis can strike at any age and affects approximately 60-70% of women and 30-40% of men. 50% of all women between the age of 45 and 75 show some degree of osteoporosis and out of those, 33% suffer serious bone deterioration. Women are more likely to develop osteoporosis than men because they lose bone tissue (through losing calcium) more rapidly than men, especially after menopause. This is why supplements for natural osteoporosis treatment are essential.

Osteoporosis is approximately the 12th most common cause of death (eg following a hip fracture). In the US alone it costs $3.8 billion to treat people with osteoporosis (and not using natural treatments). Compare that to the small cost of calcium supplements as a natural treatment for osteoporosis!

Preventing Osteoporosis - A Natural Approach

An overwhelming body of opinion favours calcium supplements as an alternative and natural treatment for osteoporosis. Calcium is the most abundant mineral in the human body and 99% of body calcium is found in the bones and teeth. However as you get older your body is less efficient at absorbing calcium and other nutrients.

The most recent clinical research clearly points out that our diets are critically deficient in calcium and the only way to get enough calcium to treat osteoporosis or prevent it is through using good, absorbable calcium supplements and a sensible diet.

Supplement with a good source of calcium and other minerals (liquid is always best) - most people consume less than half the amount of calcium needed to build and maintain bones.
A well balanced diet with plenty of green leafy vegetables.
Exercise – particularly weight-bearing exercises.
Avoidance of processed foods, cigarettes, alcohol and carbonated drinks.

Detecting possible signs of osteoporosis is essential for prevention and cure.

A bone density test may be useful to detect signs of osteoporosis. However these are normally done on the large bones and it’s the small bones that will actually give you the indication that you’re losing bone tissue first.

A natural approach to treating osteoporosis is to first determine if you’re suffering a calcium deficiency and are at higher risk.

In his book, ‘Rare Earths Forbidden Cures’ , Dr Joel Wallach lists the common signs of calcium deficiency: receding gums (osteoporosis of facial bones and jaw bones), kidney stones, bone spurs, cramps and twitches (e.g. eye twitches), lower back pain, Tinnitus (ringing in the ears is actually osteoporosis of the ear bone), high blood pressure can sometimes be a calcium deficiency, poor blood clotting, Arthritis, bad PMS, cracking bones and joints.

Highly active or athletic people – if you sweat heavily, your loss of minerals, particularly calcium, will be much higher! You need to replace all those minerals you’ve sweated out!)

Risk factors:

Women (especially post-menopausal).
Age – the older we are the more bone tissue we lose. Older men and women need to consume more calcium.
Body size – small thin-boned people are at greater risk because they have less bone mass.
Lactose intolerance and celiac disease can lead to calcium deficiency.
Diets high in processed food which are high in phosphorus and prevent calcium from being absorbed.

Treating Osteoporosis Naturally

Whilst there are a number of drug treatments offered by conventional medicine, the general consensus is that treating osteoporosis naturally with supplements and early prevention methods haven’t been used to their full advantage.

When it comes to treating osteoporosis naturally, the use of nutritional supplements with calcium as a focus have produced spectacular results. The following supplements for treating osteoporosis naturally are recommended:

Calcium & magnesium supplements from a high quality and highly absorbable source at 2000 mg and 1000 mg per day respectively for the first 30 days.
Colloidal calcium, magnesium, boron (can be found in plant derived minerals) digestive enzymes taken 15 minutes before meals. (improves absorption of calcium from food and supplements).
Vitamin D (lack of vitamin D can cause a calcium deficiency as it helps the body absorb calcium).
Calcium is highly absorbable (up to 98%) in organic plant derived colloidal minerals and water soluble chelated form. (i.e. Liquid calcium supplements with vitamin D, magnesium and manganese are excellent).

Dietary Tips for Natural Treatment and Prevention of Osteoporosis

Natural sources of Calcium: some dairy products such as yogurt and cheese (milk is not a good source as it contains a high amount of protein and will prevent calcium from being absorbed), Dark green leafy vegetables (eg broccoli and spinach), Tofu, Almonds, Foods enriched with calcium (eg some orange juice is enriched with calcium supplements).
Natural sources of Vitamin D: Egg yolks, Salt water fish, Liver NB Your skin will make Vitamin D following direct exposure to sunlight.
Drink eight glasses of pure, filtered water every day (you need water to eliminate toxins).
Eat a variety of foods with a low fat, high protein intake.
Eat organic, fresh foods wherever possible.

Exercise and Lifestyle for Osteoporosis

Exercise is important as a natural treatment for osteoporosis because bones respond to exercise in the same way as muscles – they grow stronger. (If you have osteoporosis, plan your exercise programme with your physician.

Weight-bearing exercise is best because the bones respond by becoming stronger (e.g. walking, hiking, jogging, stair climbing, weight training, tennis).

If there’s one thing that conventional medicine and natural osteoporosis treatments have in common, it’s exercise.
Many accidents and falls will occur around the home since this is where you spend most of your time. If you have osteoporosis, keep your home uncluttered and obstacle-free. Have things within easy reach. Do use a walking stick or other aid for support. Make sure stairs are well lit. Don’t rush! Treating osteoporosis naturally can start right in your own home!

Treating osteoporosis naturally - things to avoid:

Smoking affects the lungs and is bad for the bones and bad for your osteoporosis.
Excessive alcohol – can contribute to bone loss.
Processed foods (Many processed foods are high in phosphorous. Diets rich in phosphorous upset the phosphorous to calcium ratio and may result in calcium deficiency.)
Some medications can cause bone loss, particularly medications prescribed for arthritis and asthma.
Excess sugar and caffeine lead to a loss of calcium from the bones.
Carbonated drinks neutralize stomach acid – the result is decreased absorption of calcium into your bones.

Summary

Our risk of developing osteoporosis rises as we get older and affects men and women.
There are many warning signs for osteoporosis such as grinding joints, bone spurs, receding gums and high blood pressure - all signs of a calcium deficiency .

Eczema and Me

Yes, I have a skin disorder akin to eczema, and this has helped me.

Be careful with the directions I am giving you. Be sure you use consistently and determine the correct amount of dosage for you. Also if any allergic symptoms arise stop immediately. Further if you are known to be allergic to any ingredients mentioned here do not take. If you start to see side effects or allergies using flaxseed oil, stop using it.

Mix in foods and beverages. Never use in heat or cooking.

Use flax seed oil. It can be used both internally and externally. Externally apply to a small one inch square area to be sure there is not allergic reaction. External application has helped some individuals. Always store your flaxseed oil in a refrigerator when not in use.

Internally, the body uses the flaxseed oil, but uses anti-oxidants to work with the oil. Therefore vitamins A, C, and E are needed by the body in conjunction with the flaxseed oil. You will therefore want to supplement the flaxseed oil with these three vitamins.

When beginning use a very low dose and gradually increase it, until results are seen or you reach the maximum suggested dose. Start with 25 mg of B, and gradually increase it to 100 mg in 25 mg stages.

The results may take up to a year. Others take 3 or 4 months and still others may see marked improvement in only a week. You should be consistent in the taking of the vitamins and flaxseed oil every day.

Begin with no more than half a tablespoon of flaxseed oil. gradually after a couple of weeks increase to a whole tablespoon, then every two weeks increase by half a tablespoon until if needed you are at 4 tablespoons a day. You will need to observe and experiment with the amounts.

After 6 months I began to show some improvements in my condition, so you may need to be patient. If the condition persists or gets worse you will want to stop treatment and see a dermatologist.

As with many medical disorders, some people respond and others do not. But, I am sharing with you what has reduced some of my skin disorders.
